Appleton Little League started in 1957. Appleton Little League has enjoyed years of success at the district, state, regional, and national levels. Today, more than 1300 kids play on more than 100 teams each year.

League visits T-Rats Aug. 29
Appleton Little League will be the special guests of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for a game at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium this Sunday, Aug. 29. Dan Ferris will be on hand to represent Appleton Little League at a table outside the stadium gates to distribute tickets beginning at 11 a.m. Those who have not paid should pay at that time.
The Little League picnic begins at 11:30 a.m. Kids will be allowed on the field to play catch at Noon. Little Leaguers will then convene in the left field corner at the warning track at approximately 12:15 p.m. and will be announced and then parade across the warning track at 12:30 p.m.
Players should wear their Little League team hats and jerseys/shirts if they have them for this special day.

Einstein 11s earn trip to state

Cameron Kolbe won a pitching duel with Matt DeYoung as Einstein edged Lions 1-0 in the 10/11 Championship at USA Youth Sports Complex. Kolbe pitched a two-hitter in 5-1/3 scoreless innings while fanning 12. DeYoung went the distance for Lions, scattering five hits. Jacob Hiltunen and Kolbe each had two hits for Einstein, with Kolbe scoring the only run of the game on a triple by Alex Leeman in the fourth inning. Einstein will represent District 2 in the Wisconsin State 10/11 tournament in Antigo beginning Aug. 4.

Telulah 10s win district title
Chris Beyer, Braden Hutter and Austin Flora combined for the Telulah 10s to win 20-8 over Lions in the 9/10 year-old District 2 Championship at USA Youth Sports Complex. Telulah was led by Sam Herbeck with four hits (two triples and a double), Sam Ferris with three hits (one triple), Evan Ourada with three hits, and Hutter with an inside-the-park home run. Nathan DeYoung pitched three strong innings and Trent Whitcomb added three hits for Lions. Telulah will represent District 2 in the Wisconsin State 9/10 tournament in South Milwaukee beginning July 31.

Telulah wins 12s district title
Appleton Telulah advanced to the state tournament with a 9-1 win over Appleton West in the Wisconsin Little League District 2 championship game at USA Youth Sports Complex July 16. Brice Swick threw a two-hitter over 5-1/3 innings in picking up the win for Telulah. Simon Pflum, Bryce Winnen, Anthony Heinz and Swick each finished with two RBI for Telulah. Jonah Mantuelle went the distance for West.
Telulah will represent District 2 in the state tournament in West Bend from July 24-30. The winner of the state tournament will then represent Wisconsin at the Great Lakes Regional in Indianapolis.
